Four Horsemen Prologue Once upon a time, in a future, far far away…
Life. The most valuable commodity in the universe is also its most vulnerable. Although it takes enormous efforts to create life, it can take little effort in extinguishing this most valuable of all things. This was the case even more so in the old days prior to the Tribulation, yet since those seven years of hell, things had changed for the universe & none more so than for the Human race. Having said that, the tribulations of the past were not unique to the Human civilisation. Other sentient races around the universe had undergone similar experiences as to Humanity. Again, in a similar fashion, they had survived their Rubicon to undergo a catharsis leading to a much better existence. Alas this was not always the case with every civilisation as sometimes their antithesis won the day. And that always meant their ultimate destruction. Not, however, for Humanity. Humans went from near barbarians to true saints. Well - almost. The great bulk, though, of the Human population did all it could to strive for a better world, not only for themselves, but for all their fellows around them. Furthermore, when contact with aliens finally took place, the interests of these people were also cared for. A huge civilisation, thus, centred around the human virtues of love, peace & hope, had made an enormous impact upon the known universe. Without a doubt, the universe was a better place because of it. Alas, not all Humans were of the same mind. Although only numbering a handful, a small group ventured out into space looking for an alternative. They did not want to share the galaxy in peace with anyone - let alone aliens. And so it was to this end that they looked for a way to destroy everything which had been so greatly achieved. The Human race, unknowingly, having changed so much, & in doing so left so much evil behind, had, however, developed an antithesis out in deep space. Not only did it, thus, attract beings of like mind, but it grew on the out casted evil being driven into space by the great & peaceful civilisation. Out in space, in a dark deep abyss, it survived hidden in thorough exile. But that was soon to change as those who searched for it got closer & closer. It would only be a matter of time, thus, before it was found. And when it was, the thousand years of peace would be broken asunder. Hence, on the day of its awakening, it would, instead of bringing love, hope, & peace - it would bring hate, war & destruction. Little, it would seem, could stop the great horror that was coming, except for those who had watched & waited for centuries - a small group of people collectively known as the Four Horsemen.
